BlackBerry joins SugarSync’s leading Mobile offering

Our mobile team has reached a remarkable milestone today by delivering a native BlackBerry implementation of SugarSync. Congratulations to this awesome team! This puts SugarSync even further ahead in native mobile support including all high volume Smartphones: iPhone, Windows Mobile, and now BlackBerry. If you do not have any of these Smartphones you can still access all your files and media using any phone that has
a Web Browser.
The BlackBerry application is very advanced and it brings capabilities not present before in the SugarSync offering. This client provides our unique push synchronization experience allowing users to access and share remotely all the SugarSync data available in all of their computers. You can open and send document to anybody and it also has full support for Shared Folders. From the road you can easily review documents, send them to colleagues, and collaborate with them and see in real time the changes they may have made to files present in a given shared folder.
But that is not all. The BlackBerry client allows users to open and EDIT files ON the Blackberry w
hile traveling and makes those updates quickly available for others. Mobile file editing is currently limited to certain file types. All recent BlackBerry phones (Bold/Storm) come with preinstalled viewer/editors for Office documents (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and you can also separately buy a PDF viewer. For older BlackBerry phones you can also separately purchase and install
all these viewers.
As expected the application also deals nicely with pictures that you can browse in full image or thumbnails mode plus the option of bringing down a large resolution copy of every image to pan and zoom in into very minute details.

What’s next? More good things to come soon in the mobile area for what we believe will be the new wave, so stay tuned! I look forward to hearing your feedback on the new SugarSync for Blackberry client.
Keep syncing!
