There has been plenty of talk across the pond and here in North America as well regarding BlackBerry devices heading towards more availability on pre paid services. Orange UK has increased their options having previously only offered Pay As You Go services on the BlackBerry 8120, which began at the beginning of this year, but have now made it official that they will indeed also be offering the BlackBerry Curve 8900 as well for their customers:

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone will be available at launch with six months’ free Internet access. To take advantage of the Orange Pay As You Go BlackBerry smartphone offer, customers must first purchase the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone for £245. They can choose one of Orange’s existing Pay As You Go animal packages, offering a choice of free rewards, and will receive free Internet access for the first six months. After that, customers can take out Orange’s Pay As You Go BlackBerry® Internet Service for just £5 per month, on a monthly rolling subscription.

With each carrier push, Pay As You Go BlackBerry seems to be an almost imminent thing to happen and with the carriers backing it so far, it could turn out to be a great venture for RIM.
