Elecite has just released a new theme and this time around we get a look at some cool transitions built right in. You have four “pages” you can scroll through – an icon dock, calendar list, message list, and media page. Crisp icons and an awesome wallpaper set this theme off, so be sure to check it out. Currently available for BlackBerry 8350, 8500, 8900, 9000, 9500 and 9600 series devices and is priced as always at $6.99 and more screenshots are

TiVo Application Launches for BlackBerry Smartphones

Well, it’s been a long time coming but RIM and TiVo have finally released their BlackBerry application and I have to say, it seems to have been well worth the wait. This should make a lot of TiVo owning Blackberry owners out there happy. A dedicated application to handle things on the go is great, much better than the TiVo mobile site, and with a lot more functionality. Some key features for you:

BlackBerry 9700 reviewed extra early

What is it with BlackBerries and seemingly premature reviews? After the Onyx got manhandled ahead of schedule, it’s the turn of its close relative, the trackpad-equipped 9700, which has been annointed as successor to the Bold. Boy Genius Report spared few superlatives in their examination of the hardware, which praises the 9700 as “the most gorgeous BlackBerry on the planet” and involves a size and feel comparison against the Tour. Their conclusion was that the new handset draws all the Read the rest of this entry »

Leaked BlackBerry Atlas gives Curve 8900 its CDMA counterpart?

Gemini had its Aries, and now it seems Javeline (a.k.a. the Curve 8900) has found its own CDMA equivalent in the BlackBerry Atlas. (Isn’t a shame that RIM’s device codenames are so often catchier than their final designation? But we digress.) A new BlackBerry has hit the internet in grainy photograph form, and according to Salomondrin with additional notes from Crackberry, the pictured leak (it’s the one on the left) boasts CDMA bands, WiFi, and a 8900 series keyboard. Mum’s the word, Read the rest of this entry »

T-Mobile BlackBerry Onyx press image leaks out

Posted by admin On September - 8 - 2009 1 COMMENT

tmo_onyx

The BlackBerry Onyx hasn’t exactly kept itself a secret in the past few months, so it’s no surprise that we’re seeing what looks to be the official press image and release from T-Mobile well before the handset’s launch. No big surprises here, really — it’s still a 3G mashup of the Bold and the Curve 8900 with that new optical trackball — but apparently RIM’s preloading it with the Amazon MP3 store, so that’s slightly

BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac leaks out in beta form

It’s been a long time coming, but there’s finally light at the end of the tunnel for Mac-toting BlackBerry fans — BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac is scheduled for release this month, and a beta version has already leaked out. Unlike a certain scrappy competitor’s hacky solution, BBDM lets you sync with iTunes, Address Book, and iCal without any monkey business, and you’ll also be able to manage and install

BlackBerry Essex to bring WiFi on Tour?

Posted by admin On September - 8 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

We’re starting to get the feeling they just didn’t know about WiFi in Waterloo until now, because almost every BlackBerry hardware rumor we’re hearing lately is all about how RIM’s adding the wireless networking spec and everyone’s oh-so-happy. Case in point: today we’ve got word of a new BlackBerry Essex, which is essentially… the Tour with WiFi. Seriously, that’s the whole rumor, and we’re
