Hedone Design Releases Desire Premium Theme In All Its Artistic Elegance

Posted by admin On October - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Hedone Design is still partying hard as they celebrate their 1st birthday all the while cranking out new themes for us all as well. The latest piece of work to come from Hedone is Desire. Hedone was going for a good design on Desire all while keeping the theme highly functional. Desire is a perfect blance and I’d say Hedone met the goal he started out with on this one.

Desire has a artistic, grungy feel to it and is jam packed with all of the functions would expect from a theme, but has them placed in a unique way. 6 customizable icons on the main screen, hidden clock, profiles, connections and options buttons Read the rest of this entry »

Verizon Officially Releases OS 5.0.0.328 For The BlackBerry Storm 9530!

Posted by admin On October - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Finally, the waiting and anticipation is over. Verizon has started pushing OS 5.0.0.328 to BlackBerry Desktop Manager for all Storm owners to install 24 minutes after we leaked it. If you haven’t gotten the alert already it’s time to fire up BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software (you too Mac users!) and see if it’s there waiting for you. It’s now up at http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/ as well.

OS 5.0 brings with it some significant changes to the OS and should correct a lot of issues some of you were having with your BlackBerry Storm 9530’s and being an official OS you can load it without any worries of running beta software. Already Read the rest of this entry »

Verizon Storm2 on October 28th, BlackBerry OS 5.0 for original Storm out now

Posted by admin On October - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

If you have an original Storm purchased through Verizon then first, our condolences. At the risk of rubbing it in (since you’re still on contract) we have to tell you that the second generation Storm2 — the full-screen BlackBerry you should have waited for — just got an official $179.99 (after $100 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract) October 28th release date as expected. Storm owners can, however, take solace in the BlackBerry OS 5.0 update now available for download that boasts several Read the rest of this entry »

Original BlackBerry Storm to get flick scrolling, better browsing through firmware update?

Posted by admin On October - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Despite Verizon’s best efforts to ignore the obvious, RIM’s BlackBerry Storm2 is not only official, it’s (un)officially destined for Big Red’s airwaves. If you’re one of those slightly disgruntled Storm 9530 owners, however, you could be looking at a rather nice firmware update coming your way in the near future. According to phoneArena, the Storm and Storm2 will eventually be “practically identical” in terms of software, with a forthcoming update to add flick scrolling, tabbed browsing and Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Bold 9700 official on T-Mobile Germany, November launch confirmed

Posted by admin On October - 21 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Perhaps the worst kept secret till now — outside of Walt Mossberg’s embargo slipups — was that T-Mobile and the latest BlackBerry flagship device were set for a November marriage. Hell, there were even invitations to the party. So, whether you call it the Bold 2, the 9700, or the Onyx, come next month you’ll be able to lovingly place its 480 x 360 display, WiFi antennae and all that other hotness in a Curve-sized space inside your pocket. We can expect this first official confirmation to be Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Bold 2 set for November 11 T-Mobile launch?

Posted by admin On October - 21 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

The word on the street is that the BlackBerry Bold 2 (aka 9700, aka Onyx) will be heading to T-Mobile — and, subsequently, into the hands and hearts of the eager American public — on November 11. This would seem to jibe with talk of AT&T and T-Mobile coming out parties slated for October 21, although we’ll have to wait for an official announcement. On the other hand, we have seen enough of this device over the months that it would be a shock if its debut was anything less than Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Messenger 5 now available, we go hands-on

BlackBerry Messenger: it’s the holy grail of the BlackBerry platform, and, for many, the only real reason why they don’t make the jump to another smartphone. Well, RIM has finally gone ahead and released the latest and greatest version upon the world (in an official capacity at least), and we’re definitely pleased with the added functionality and other updates that they’ve cooked in to the app to make it even more useful and better. Be sure to check out Engadget Mobile for a review of what’s Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Bold 9700 on Vietnam holiday from AT&T

Posted by admin On October - 21 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Surely you’re not tired of seeing the BlackBerry Bold 9700 yet are you. A handset described as “the most gorgeous BlackBerry on the planet” in early previews deserves a few more minutes in the spotlight, be it official or not. Vietnamese site tinh te returns with some of the best leaked shots and video we’ve seen to date giving us a crystal clear look at the 9700’s orange AT&T splash-screen, real pleather battery cover, and squircle trackpad. They’ve also taken the time to size it up appropriately Read the rest of this entry »
