BlackBerry slider pics, Bold?

Posted by admin On March - 4 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

What looked like a drizzle last night seems to be turning into a full on downpour. The folks over at BlackBerry Leaks have gotten themselves even more facetime with that mysterious BlackBerry slider device — and it looks a lot better than we thought. Right now the theories are flying about just exactly what kind of phone this is, with BBL suggesting it might be the next phone in the Storm family, while Kevin over at CrackBerry has it on good authority that this new handset will be Read the rest of this entry »

BerryShell – Premium BlackBerry Theme From Hedone Design

Posted by admin On January - 29 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Hedone has emerged from his lab again. This time bringing with him the beautifully designed BerryShell theme. As with most of Hedones designs, BerryShell looks fresh and sharp on your BlackBerry screen. The grey and orange color scheme is nice, similar to his Bussfast theme we’ve seen before, so if you have used that one BerryShell would suit you nicely. The filesize is rather large on this one, coming in at around 1.7mb for the Bold 9700 version so keep that in mind. Normally, Read the rest of this entry »

RIM’s (doomed?) BlackBerry Magnum makes its video debut

Posted by admin On January - 29 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

The same cat that brought us the last Magnum scoop is back again, this time with a short video detailing the differences between RIM’s supposed first effort at making a touchscreen / QWERTY hybrid device and its nearest cousins, the Bold 9000 and 9700. Notably, the narrator points out that the phone shares its keyboard design more closely with the 9000 than the 9700 — for aficionados, this can be a crucial difference — and it generally shares its physical cues with the older Bold apart Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Curve 8910 in the wild?

Posted by admin On January - 29 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

If you thought RIM had completely run out of ways to mildly remix its existing portrait QWERTY formula, think again — the transition from trackball to optical pad has opened up a whole new world of exciting opportunities, and it looks like the venerable Curve 8900 might be the next model to get the refresh. BerryReview appears to have scored a shot of the alleged 8910 in its most natural environment — a desk calendar — preserving the Curve series’ typical broken-up keyboard style (as Read the rest of this entry »

RIM’s BlackBerry Tour2 9650 gets the hands-on treatment

Posted by admin On December - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

There’s practically zero doubt remaining that RIM has a next-generation Tour in the works, but if you’re one of those tin foil hat wearers, you’ll be glad to know that at least one of these things really, truly exists.Boy Genius just got his paws around the Tour2 9650 (shown left), and aside from the optical trackpad replacing the trackball (and the addition of a WiFi module), there’s not much new here. Oh, except that presumably quicker CPU — we’re guessing to-be owners will dig that. We’re

Monocle offers custom BlackBerry 9700 for the discerning business traveler

Posted by admin On December - 12 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Looking for a BlackBerry for yourself or a special someone that’s unique but not in a Colorware sort of way? Then you might just want to consider ponying up for this new limited edition BlackBerry 9700crafted by the folks at Monocle in partnership with RIM. It’ll cost you a hefty £950 (or just over $1,500), but that will get you the gift of confidence that this is one of just 100, along with some suitably luxurious touches like a custom leather strap, a reminder of its rarity on the back, Read the rest of this entry »

Chevy Volt to get iPhone, BlackBerry apps

Posted by admin On December - 12 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

They may not let you actually drive the car James Bond-style, but it looks like there will be some apps for the iPhone and BlackBerry launching alongside the Chevy Volt, with apps for other devices apparently also a possibility. That word comes from Chevrolet’s soon-to-be-retiring VP Brent Dewar, who unfortunately had little to say about the apps themselves, but did briefly flash the above slide during a presentation at the LA Auto Show last week. The apps will apparently let you control Read the rest of this entry »

BlackBerry Storm2 hands-on and impressions

Posted by admin On November - 12 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

For a company with the most starched, buttoned-up roots of any major wireless manufacturer, RIM’s venture out of its enterprise comfort zone to the consumer space went amazingly smoothly thanks to the introduction of the original Pearl, a phone that’s still sold in a variety of colors, configurations, and carriers to this day. At some point, though, it became clear that the industry was moving toward touch — a space RIM had never dabbled in — and the trend gave birth to the Storm, a product that had obviously been rushed to market with countless software bugs and a dodgy SurePress concept that caused more problems than it solved. With prototypes floating around in the wild mere months after its predecessor’s release, RIM’s Read the rest of this entry »

Hedone Design Releases Desire Premium Theme In All Its Artistic Elegance

Posted by admin On October - 26 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Hedone Design is still partying hard as they celebrate their 1st birthday all the while cranking out new themes for us all as well. The latest piece of work to come from Hedone is Desire. Hedone was going for a good design on Desire all while keeping the theme highly functional. Desire is a perfect blance and I’d say Hedone met the goal he started out with on this one.

Desire has a artistic, grungy feel to it and is jam packed with all of the functions would expect from a theme, but has them placed in a unique way. 6 customizable icons on the main screen, hidden clock, profiles, connections and options buttons Read the rest of this entry »
