Update: Unwired View points out that there’s a Bluetooth SIG certification for an 8910, so this is all lining up pretty nicely, isn’t it?

Celio Corp’s announced it’ll be bringing BlackBerry support to the Companion C8N and C7 as a free update in mid-Q4 of this year.

Gemini had its Aries, and now it seems Javeline (a.k.a. the Curve 8900) has found its own CDMA equivalent in the BlackBerry Atlas. (Isn’t a shame that RIM’s device codenames are so often catchier than their final designation? But we digress.) A new BlackBerry has hit the internet in grainy photograph form, and according to Salomondrin with additional notes from Crackberry, the pictured leak (it’s the one on the left) boasts CDMA bands, WiFi, and a 8900 series keyboard. Mum’s the word, officially and otherwise, on pretty much any other details, but hopefully RIM won’t keep us waiting too long.

Listen, we feel your pain, we know you’ve been dying to find another use for your REDFLY Mobile Companion, and while we’re not sure this is it, at least you’ve got another thing you can tell your friends when justifying the purchase. Celio Corp’s announced it’ll be bringing BlackBerry support to the Companion C8N and C7 as a free update in mid-Q4 of this year. It works via either physical cable or Bluetooth, and at this point supports Bold 9000, Curve 8900, and Tour 9630, with more phones promised as they’re released. Crackberry’s managed to obtain a video demonstration, which is after the break if you’re interested. It’s okay if you’re not, we understand.

Hot on the heels of the word that RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 8520 would be heading for Vodaphone in the UK, Pocket Lint’s gotten a hold of one. The optical trackball-boasting, entry-level non-3G darling looks pretty brilliant in the photos, despite its stripped down form factor. Pocket Lint is also reporting that it’ll be Vodaphone-bound in August, and it’ll also be available through Orange for pre-paid deals and from Carphone Warehouse where it’ll be offered in violet. Now that, we’ll admit, we’re kind of interested in.

The 8520 (or Gemini, as it’s also known) is T-Mobile-bound in the US of A, most likely on August 5th. There’s another shot after the break — hit the read link for the full set.

Up until now the latest OS for your device and pretty much all other devices pre-4.6 OS was 4.5.0.153 but as Ronen posted at BerryReview there is an official version that is even higher currently available to you all. Version4.5.0.163 is now available from 02 UK for public consumption. CrackBerry junkies may want to give this newer version a download and install (download for Bold; for Curve 8900, but keep in mind that many of your existing apps may not yet work properly with this newer OS (BlackBerry JDE 5.0 is now available to developers, so the apps should catch up with the OS quick).
